Some of them are partial scholarships while some are fully funded scholarships.

SAD Talent Scholarship for Undergraduates

Coverage and Eligibility for Business Students

The first one is the SAD Talent Scholarship. This is undergraduate-focused, fully funded, and one thing to know about this institution is that it is one of the top business schools in Europe located right in the heart of Barcelona.

Eligibility for Business Schools

They cover up to 100% of tuition fees that is around €20,000 per year, renewable for 4 years. The eligibility requirements are: an application must be made to one of the bachelor’s programs in the institution like business studies, law, global governance and the likes. Admission must be secured first and foremost, and then an excellent academic record and good CGPA are required, along with a family income that is under €18,000 per year. There is no IELTS requirement. If studies were conducted in English or from an English-speaking country, proof of English or even passing their internal test can be used.

In some cases, transport help, housing stipends, mentorship support and lots of other benefits are included.

Eligibility for Diverse Student Groups

This scholarship is open to all levels bachelors, masters, PhD but it prioritizes students with financial needs, students with disabilities, students from rural or underrepresented communities, and international students are welcome as well. This scholarship is currently open, but it closes September 16, 2025. Many programs are in Spanish because it is a Spanish bank offering the scholarship, but it is not always necessary to speak Spanish fluently to apply. Some universities offer English-taught programs.

Bax Government Scholarship

Comprehensive Support in the Bax Region

The Bax Government Scholarship covers students from bachelors to PhD, with general support to cover food, tuition, living support up to €1,000 per month, plus bonus grants for materials, transport, and housing.

Acceptance into a university in the Bax region is required. Bax is a region in Spain. Acceptance into any of the universities in the Bax region whether for an undergraduate program, masters, or PhD is necessary, and family income must fall below at least €40,000 per year. Low-income families are the most common beneficiaries of these opportunities. No Spanish ID is required. International students are free to apply. It typically opens late July or August and the deadline is usually late September. Spanish language is not heavily required, and some programs are taught in Spanish while others are not.

Since the search will be for a university in the Bax region that grants admission, it is probably best to do it in the language best understood. The Bax region is one region of Spain that everyone should consider, especially when looking for local experiences and funding.

IMDEA Network PhD Program in Madrid

Research Pathways and Eligibility Criteria

The IMDEA Network PhD Program in Madrid is fully funded full tuition, monthly salary, paid research trips and conferences and it’s usually a 3 to 5 year contract.

For those who want to do a PhD program and enjoy research, this one is ideal. A relevant master’s degree and a strong academic or research background are required. No IELTS is needed if education was conducted in English. The ability to write and present clearly is important. This one is ongoing and expiring very soon.

UIC Barcelona Excellence Scholarships

Application Windows and Bonus Tech Scholarships

This is a partial scholarship, renewable with good academic standing. A 20% to 80% tuition discount is offered and 80% is a significant amount. Applicants should be bachelor’s or master’s degree applicants with a good CGPA. A scholarship entrance test is required. No IELTS is needed. Application windows are from November, January, April and sometimes end in June. This one is ideal if looking for a partial scholarship while being based in one of Europe’s most student-friendly cities.

Additional Scholarship Opportunities

Tech Talent and University of Salamanca

The Hbert Space Scholarship and the UT Ad Scholarship for tech, design, and entrepreneurship are also fully funded with a monthly stipend. They open soon in October 2025 and are based in Barcelona.

There is also the University of Salamanca Talent Scholarship. The University of Salamanca is always giving out scholarships, but this one is a talent scholarship. It is for students with a high CGPA, probably first class and upwards, and it opens in December 2025.

University of Nebrija and Application Strategies

The Nebrija University Scholarship is currently open and applications are rolling in. It covers up to 30% tuition. Being among the first applicants is recommended. Start early do not wait for the final deadlines before applying because many scholarships run on a rolling basis. With a high volume of applicants, it is better not to be at the later end of the application window.

Required Documents and English Certificates

Applications should include motivational letters and recommendation letters. These show the scholarship board who an applicant is beyond just their grades. There is no IELTS requirement except when applying to a specific university that teaches in English, or perhaps a UK-based university that has a branch in Spain. Most of those require IELTS. But many Spanish universities have English-taught programs and do not require IELTS. They may give an internal test or accept an English proficiency certificate.
