The legendary American surfer Bethany Hamilton has said that she will skip the professional tour due to the new rules regarding transgender athletes.

She made this claim in a video on Instagram after the World Surf League (WSL) declared it will follow the International Surfing Association's (ISA) guidelines for transgender athletes.

The International Sports Association (ISA) revised its regulations in October to stipulate that male competitors must keep their testosterone levels below five nmol/L (nanomole per litre) for a period of 12 months in order to compete in the women's event. must be preserved.
